Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. NYLOS Lite runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. On a phone you can add it to your home screen and open it like an app.
Does it work without internet?
You need an internet connection to record sales and stock. That is deliberate: every device always shows the real, current stock, so two cashiers can never sell the same last item.
Which barcode scanners and printers work?
Any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types like a keyboard, plus the camera on your phone or tablet. Receipts print on thermal receipt printers, and invoices and reports print on any A4 printer.
I keep my products in Excel. Can I bring them in?
Yes. Import products from a CSV file. NYLOS Lite checks every row and shows you the problems before anything is saved.
Can I run more than one branch?
Yes. Add branches and warehouses, move stock between them, and see stock for each location or all together. Staff can be limited to the warehouses they work in.
Is my data safe?
Each company's data is kept completely separate. Passwords are stored with strong hashing, every important action goes into an audit log, and the database is backed up every night.
Can I change my business type later?
Your business type decides which screens you see. It is set when you create your account. If your business changes, NYLOS support can switch it for you.
